ARTICLE SUBMISSION
GUIDELINES
Original work based on research, and histories based on personal experience, including family or other privately-held manuscripts, are welcomed. All work submitted may include a wide range of historical interests, but submissions should also contain a significant contribution to the history of Columbia County. Photos and other documents that compliment submissions are welcomed.
Articles should be two to six pages in length (900 to 2,500 words) including documentation. All work will be copy edited and checked for factual errors, and revisions may be recommended. Text is double-spaced, and either endnotes or parenthetical means of providing sources are used.
Send electronic submissions to: biannual@colcomuseum.org
Microsoft Word format is preferred; however, we will review anything that is readable. In lieu of digital files, authors may mail their work to :

Feature Topics
We also encourage authors to share their favorite old-time recipes, either accompanied by historical-interest stories or as standalone pieces. Use up to 300 words to tell a story. Humorous stories from long ago are welcomed. Preferred sources are family oral histories; however, stories may be about subjects other than ancestral history.
